A Neighbourhood Plan for Hulme?

A relaxed gathering called by members of Hulme Community Forum, where you can have your tea and find out why we think Hulme* needs a local plan, and how we hope to make it happen.

Essentially, a neighbourhood plan is a document that sets out planning policies for an area, giving residents and local businesses a say in what gets protected, what gets built and where. It can:

• Preserve green spaces and important landmarks
• Encourage better design
• Identify sites for housing and community facilities
• Bring forward homes that actually meet the needs of local people
