The Bards Are Back In Town!
Join this creative and original troupe for a special evening concert to mark the coming of Midwinter.
AWEN takes the methods of the medieval Bards, rebooting them into modern-day sets of fiery Festival Folk and Mystic Acoustic. Skilful story-led lyrics mix with catchy folk-pop melodies, and hooks you’ll be humming all the way home!
The band brings a folklore vibe too, with material inspired by the tales of Wessex and Wales, and the myths of Merlin.

From prehistoric times, humans have marked Midwinter as the return of the light – a time to rekindle hope and to reconnect with the natural world. And you may well experience the same, through the words, music and musicianship of The Bardic Band!
This unusual event is part Gig and part Gathering - blending the vibe of a Celtic-style Midwinter rite with a rock’n’roll show for all six senses...
