Prepare for an unforgettable evening of music, romance, humor, and international artistry as three acclaimed performers come together for A Musical Journey Around the World at the Museum of Modern Renaissance.
The program brings together opera, operetta, classical and popular song, Ukrainian music, Hebrew and Yiddish songs, beloved Neapolitan favorites, and music from the movies, with a generous dose of romance and comedy.
Konstantin Rittel-Kobyliansky, internationally acclaimed Ukrainian-born baritone, has performed on major stages throughout Europe and internationally. His extensive operatic repertoire includes some of the great baritone roles of the repertoire, including Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen—a role for which he has received particular acclaim. His artistry combines a powerful, charismatic stage presence with a rich and expressive voice. His international career has taken him to prestigious venues and concert stages across Europe, Israel, North America and beyond.
Ella Pasik, an accomplished Israeli pianist originally from Ukraine, is an artist, cultural leader, and artistic director with a long history of bringing music and musicians together. She has served as Music Director of the Culture Department of the Petah Tikva Municipality and as artistic director of international festivals and competitions. An experienced accompanist and piano performer, she has collaborated with distinguished singers and musicians internationally, including Konstantin Rittel-Kobyliansky.
Joining them is Olga Lisovska, acclaimed soprano and native of Kyiv, Ukraine, whose career encompasses performance, education, and arts production. Hailed as a “soprano extraordinaire” by WBUR, she has performed on prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall, and her performances have been featured on American, Ukrainian and Italian television and radio, including The Today Show and WBUR. She holds degrees from Middlebury College, the École Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot, and Sciences Po in Paris.
Together, these artists create a program that is as diverse as their own musical journeys: from Kyiv to Israel, from opera houses to concert halls, and from the great classics to songs everyone knows and loves.
Expect magnificent arias, sparkling operetta, Ukrainian melodies, Hebrew and Yiddish songs, passionate Neapolitan favorites, beloved movie music, duets, romance—and some delightful musical mischief.
