“It was the tenth year of the siege of Troy, the year that Calchas, the soothsayer, had predicted that the city would fall.” Paris of Troy chose Aphrodite the Goddess of Love as the fairest of all and gained Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, as his reward. However Helen’s furious husband, determined to get her back, assembled a fleet of a thousand ships, sailed to Troy and laid siege to the city. Now, all the mightiest Princes of Ancient Greece are camped before Troy's high walls in their black, beached ships.

Atmospheric musical accompaniment adds to the impact, with a mixture of ancient Greek music and improvisation on aulos (ancient double pipes) an lyres.
