About this Event
Join the trombones of the Household Division, together with London Brass and musicians from the Royal College of Music, for a special evening of music and storytelling celebrating the life and legacy of former Irish Guards musician and internationally renowned trombonist Richard Edwards.
From his award-winning beginnings at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, Richard went on to enjoy an extraordinarily varied career—performing at Ronnie Scott’s, touring worldwide with Working Week and Carla Bley, appearing with the London Symphony Orchestra, and recording for iconic film soundtracks including Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and James Bond. His playing can also be heard on albums by artists such as Sting, Amy Winehouse, and Joni Mitchell.
This memorial concert is free to attend, with a retiring collection in support of the occasion. All are warmly welcome to come together to remember Richard’s remarkable musicianship and enduring influence.
