Visit the trails where these dark shadowy birds haunt the trees above. Hear their caw in the distance and know they’re near. Learn about their extreme intelligence and what sets these birds apart from the rest of the pack ... or should we say murder. Meet at the visitor center.
Fee: Free!
Age: Ages 12 or older. (Participants 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult.)
Registration required by Thursday, September 30, by calling 815.722.9470 or online: https://apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/Activity_Search/a-murder-of-crows-hike/7821
The hike will be up to 2 miles over uneven, natural terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information) no later than 48 hours before the program.
