A Morning in the Atelier: Outdoor Art for Young Learners
About this Event
What does it feel like to create something truly beautiful? Come find out with your child at a special morning in our atelier — an immersive, outdoor art experience inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning.
The Atelier isn't just an art classroom. It's a space where children are treated as capable, curious creators. This morning is designed to spark wonder, slow down, and let young hands explore the natural world through art.
What to expect:
Families will rotate through a series of hands-on stations set outdoors among the orchard and log areas:
· Gather natural materials on a walk, then arrange them into collages on paper
· Paint with tempera with lap easels set up in the orchard
· Explore color and water with a small watercolor station
· Free play in the log area between stations
This is an experience for both parent and child — a chance to slow down together, make something with your hands, and leave with a piece of art your child created themselves.
