An immersive sound journey into midsummer peace, inspired by Yeats' vision of Innisfree
About this Event

A Midsummer Sound Bath
In the Deep Heart's Core

Inspired by the timeless imagery of W. B. Yeats's The Lake Isle of Innisfree, this midsummer sound bath invites you into a sanctuary of stillness, reflection, and deep rest.

As the year reaches its fullest light, we gather to journey inward through the soothing vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gentle soundscapes. Like Yeats' imagined island retreat, this experience offers a space to step away from the rush of daily life and reconnect with the quiet wisdom that resides within.

Wrapped in sound and held by the energy of midsummer, you'll be guided into a state of calm where "peace comes dropping slow," allowing body, mind, and spirit to settle into harmony.

Join us for an evening of listening, dreaming, and returning to the place we carry within us always — the deep heart's core.

What to Bring

To help you feel comfortable and fully relaxed, please bring:

  • A yoga mat, blanket, or something soft to lie on (mats and blankets are provided)
  • A pillow or cushion for extra comfort
  • Cosy clothing (the body temperature can drop during deep relaxation)
  • Water to stay hydrated
  • An eye mask if you enjoy resting in darkness

Feel free to bring anything else that helps you feel grounded and at ease.

What to Expect

This is a gentle, meditative experience suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

  1. Arrival & settling in- you'll be welcomed into the space and invited to create a comfortable resting place on the floor.
  2. Opening meditation- we begin with a short grounding practice inspired by the imagery of Innisfree — the still lake, the bees, the soft evening light.
  3. Immersive sound journey- while you rest comfortably lying down, you'll be bathed in the resonant tones of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other therapeutic instruments. There is nothing you need to do except relax and receive.
  4. Closing & integration-the session ends with a few quiet moments to return gently to the room, followed by space for reflection before you leave.

Expect to feel deeply relaxed, peaceful, and inwardly restored.

Benefits of a Sound Bath

Many people experience a range of physical, emotional, and energetic benefits, including:

  • Deep relaxation and stress reduction
  • Calming of the nervous system
  • Improved sleep and restfulness
  • Release of tension held in the body
  • Greater mental clarity and emotional balance
  • A sense of grounding, peace, and connection
  • Support for meditation and mindfulness practices

Sound baths work by using harmonious vibrations to encourage the body and mind to move into a more restful, receptive state.

Contraindications & Care

Sound baths are generally very gentle and accessible, but they may not be suitable for everyone. Please contact the organiser before booking if you:

  • Have epilepsy or a history of seizures
  • Are in the first trimester of pregnancy
  • Have a severe sound sensitivity or tinnitus that may be triggered by resonant tones
  • Have a serious mental health condition such as psychosis or are currently experiencing acute emotional distress
  • Have a pacemaker or implanted medical device (please seek medical advice if unsure)

You are always welcome to adjust your position, sit upright, or step outside the space at any time during the session.

"I hear it in the deep heart's core."

— W. B. Yeats

We look forward to welcoming you to this midsummer evening of sound, stillness, and inner refuge
