Full of fantasy, humor and beauty, join us for a dynamic duo of Carnival of the Animals and A Midsummer Night’s Dream this Spring! Act One begins with Carnival of the Animals. Enter a world of fantasy, humor, and majestic animals from all over the globe! Join Emma and Anna as they begin their evening with story time, then slip into a fanciful dream with their favorite furry friends including tiny pink elephants and colorful Cuckoo birds. This is a unique performance that features narration, acting, and dancing to the humorous musical suite of Camille Saint-Saëns. It’s a great introduction to ballet for children all ages. Come jump with kangaroos, turn with swans, and waltz with lions!
Join Los Gatos Ballet for the premiere of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. One of William Shakespeare’s most popular works, this romantic comedy tells a fantastical tale of quarreling fairy kingdoms, confused young lovers and mischievous sprites. Set to a splendid score by Felix Mendelssohn, our one act version will leave audiences feeling enchanted, and wondering if it was all just a dream.
