We're back to our tours, and finally, we're introducing the origin story. Despite presenting the most obvious place to have started our own journey in this field, it is also something we've been eschewing for quite some time as (as always) we want to go beyond the obvious broad-brush stories and try actually to touch the sense of place of medieval Porto. Thus, we'll seek to link up the city of today with the Middle Ages layout, and what that entailed, not only in terms of the city topography but also the way of life, traditions, crafts and how all this still plays hide and seek with contemporary Porto. Despite being as long as our regular tours, our path will hug close to the cathedral and the cathedral hill exploring those dog-legging lanes and alleys but always walking down towards the former harbour. So, it will be less testing on the calves, we assure you!
