A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based program for older adults who have fallen, have a risk of falling and/or may be reducing their activities due to a fear of falling. Participants learn to view falls and the fear of falling as controllable; set realistic goals to increase activity; change their environment to reduce fall risk factors; and exercise to increase strength and balance.

At PCOA, we prioritize the health and safety of our community members. In alignment with current CDC guidelines, masks are not required. While masks are not mandatory, they are available at our front desks for anyone who prefers to use them. Individuals at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 or any airborne contagion are advised to consult their healthcare provider regarding appropriate precautions, including mask usage. Please be aware that guidelines for events held at community sites not managed by PCOA may vary.
