A Little Space for Big Conversations ...... at the end of the year

As 2025 draws to a close it’s easy to rush from one year into the next without really noticing what’s changed, what we’ve learned, or what we want to carry forward.

During this mindful experience, we’ll use specially curated conversation prompts, to encourage reflection on the year just gone, and explore hopes and intentions for the year ahead.

This is a small-group gathering, designed to create a little space for big conversations. A chance to slow down, connect with others, and share meaningful dialogue in a safe, welcoming environment.

Whether you’re attending alone, or with friends, you’ll leave feeling grounded, inspired, and reminded of just how powerful a good conversation can be.

Suitable for anyone curious about connection, reflection, and seeing things from a new perspective.

What to expect:

Welcoming, fun environment: to meet people and take part in open and meaningful conversations.

Random, small group matches: introducing you to like minded folks you’ve never met before.

Conversation prompts: carefully curated to spark meaningful dialogue, helping you delve into topics that matter and create memorable interactions.

Bring your own hot drink and snack if you like.

By taking part in this experience, you accept full responsibility for your own health and safety. The organisers are present solely to facilitate and support the group.

• Dress for the weather and don't wear your high heels! Calton Hill is accessible by way of a small flight of stairs and a steep path (approx 50m long) that you can find on Waterloo Place at the East End of Princes Street. You can also get to the top of the hill by taxi/Uber. The terrain is flat and easy for walking. There are multiple paths and lots of benches if you need a break.

• Bring your own tea/coffee or a cold drink and snack.

• Public toilets are located at the north side of the Collective Gallery on Calton Hill, beneath the Lookout Restaurant. A 50p donation is requested. Disabled toilets are available inside the City Observatory on request.

• Bring a camera or note book if you'd like to document your experience.
