About this Event

Join Phil Walton and Marc Kenny for a unique evening of storytelling, music and visual media built around Phil's experiences as one of only15 people in history to have both summited Mount Everest and completed a solo swim of the English Channel.

However, rather than being an adventure presentation, the evening uses those experiences as a backdrop to explore universal themes including resilience, persistence, gratitude, momentum, appreciation and legacy.

The format is a series of narrative-led chapters, each culminating in a live performance of a carefully selected song accompanied by a bespoke photo and video montage. This delivers something that sits somewhere between a keynote talk, a live music performance and a documentary-style storytelling experience.

Ultimately, it is less about mountains and swimming, and more about encouraging people to reflect on their own challenges, ambitions, relationships and the ordinary moments that make up a meaningful life.
