About this Event

A-level History Early Tudors Study Day in Newcastle-Upon Tyne

Join us at the Great North Museum: Hancock and Newcastle University’s School of History, Classics and Archaeology between 10.00am – 2.30pm to delve deeper into early Tudor History!

The day will start at the Great North Museum: Hancock with a talk by Sean Cunnigham, Head of Collections (Medieval, Early Modern, Legal, Maps and Plans) at The National Archives, and author of a new biography: Henry VII: Treason and Trust.

Students will then take part in a source-based workshop led by staff from The National Archives where they will analyse printed copies and digital images of early Tudor documents.

In the afternoon, students will visit Newcastle University’s School of History, Classics and Archaeology and take part in a further session on the early Tudors to give them a taster of what it may be like to study History at university.
