About this Event

Wondering what it was like to grow up on the Lower East Side in the early 1900s? Find out on this walking tour designed for children and their families! As we explore the neighborhood, we’ll discover the special spots that kids knew and loved back then, from the movie house to the tenement house, from a play street to the playground. Each stop on this tour will transport you back in time to a long-gone world, and reveal how childhood today has been shaped by what happened on the Lower East Side more than a century ago. Recommended for children five and up and their adult companions.

The safety of our visitors and staff is our priority. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are monitoring the situation closely and following guidance from the CDC and local health officials.
