A Just Peace in the Middle East Vigil

In Palestine, the suffering continues, and the widening war we all feared continues. The West Bank is currently being ethnically cleansed of Palestinians. We are standing up to tell our representatives that the U.S. cannot continue to support Israel's aggression.
The "ceasefire" has decreased the level of violence, but the Israeli military continues to K*ll, starve, displace and terrorize Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. They are now destroying areas of Lebanon and have vowed to take and keep 20% of that country.
This unending repression does not make the Israeli people safer either, some of whom are rallying for an end to the war, refusing military service and being punished and jailed by their government.
We continue to vigil and lobby our representatives for a just peace in Palestine and Israel and the region. We want our Representatives to act to protect human lives and rights, our environment that is being devastated by militarism, and our Constitutional rights!
We implore Congressman Pappas to join the call to end to the U.S. supported Israeli siege and starvation of Gaza and annexation of and attacks on the West Bank and Lebanon, and an end to US military aid to Israel.
This event is not a rally. It is a vigil and an expression of our steadfast commitment to human rights and peace for all people and the planet. We stand with all who are suffering of any nationality or religion and will deliver a letter to the Congressman. We act on our responsibility to end the U.S. supported human, health, and environmental devastation this violence is causing
LOGISTICS: PLEASE NOTE: We vigil at the corner of Third St and Central Ave for better visibility!! We walk down the street to his office at 2:55 to deliver our letter. There is metered parking in the area and the Orchard Street Garage.
This vigil is hosted by The NH Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East which brings together: NH Peace Action, AFSC-NH, Community Church of Durham, Jewish Voice for Peace VT/NH, Not In My Name NH, Palestine Education Network, Veterans for Peace NH, Peace with Justice Advocates NHCUCC, 350NH, NH Youth Movement, World Fellowship Center, Southern NH Indivisible and others.
