A Joyful Spring Gathering: Forest Bathing & Aromatherapy at Dr. Neil's Garden
We're celebrating the magic of the spring with a deeply immersive experience that harmoniously blends the revitalising practice of Forest Bathing with the art of aromatherapy.
A day in one of Edinburgh's most beloved hidden gardens - created in 1963 by two local GPs who simply wanted people to slow down and experience the quiet power of nature and it's ability to restore us.
We're bringing together two practices that sit naturally alongside each other: forest bathing and aromatherapy. A chance to settle into spring, connect with others, and leave with something made by your own hands.
Forest Bathing Led by Rosie (forest bathing guide & psychotherapist), we'll spend two hours moving gently through the spring landscape of Dr. Neil's Garden - slowing down, noticing, soaking it in. Spring is a time of light and growth, and this practice creates space to feel that. We'll end with a tea ceremony outdoors, taking time to reflect before moving inside. Please dress for all weathers.
Aromatherapy In Thomson's Tower - a richly historical octagonal building on the banks of Duddingston Loch , Gill will guide you through creating your own 10ml therapeutic perfume, inspired by the scents of spring. Essential oils are the living essence of plants and trees and each one carefully chosen for its therapeutic properties as much as its scent. A natural continuation of the morning you've just had outdoors, and something to carry the feeling home with you.
A light lunch is provided before the workshop, with space to connect and settle.
