Join us as we bring the Cultural Section's 2026 season to a close with an unforgettable evening celebrating the rich musical traditions of Cyprus.
The acclaimed ANTAMA Music Group, Anna Aristeidou (vocals and percussion), Nicolas Vryoni (vocals and violin) and Grigoris Ioannou(vocals and lute) invite audiences on a captivating journey through the island's musical heritage, performing beloved traditional melodies inspired by the cycles of life, love, migration, community and the changing seasons.
The programme also features traditional Cypriot Christmas carols, together with a selection of festive carols from Greece, creating a joyful celebration of the season and a fitting finale to the year.
Adding a unique artistic dimension to the evening, ceramic artist Maria Michael will create a traditional koukoumara live on stage. As the clay is transformed into one of Cyprus's most distinctive ceramic forms, music and craftsmanship come together in a moving dialogue, creating a truly immersive cultural experience.
Founded in Limassol in 2010, ANTAMA has dedicated itself to researching, preserving and promoting the traditional music of Cyprus. The ensemble has represented Cyprus at festivals and cultural events around the world and was featured on the acclaimed ERT1 television programme Alati tis Gis (The Salt of the Earth), celebrating the island's musical traditions.
The evening concludes with an invitation for the audience to become part of the experience through participation, interaction and shared creativity.
This concert marks the final Cultural Section event of 2026, offering a warm celebration of Cyprus's living heritage before the festive season.
