Where we’ve been, where we’re going - we’re taking a broad interactive approach at the history of how the city has got here and how we can get to where we want to go. This conversation will sweep through environmental topics of ecology, climate and land-use change, and more human aspects of colonisation, urban design, and governance. For young people, the future of this city can be a hard thing to grasp and envisage, so this conversation will be an environment of learning and question-asking, as well as creating space to direct your hopes and plans for this city.We hope to see you there! Our conversation leaders are GZ’s Daniel Rawhiti Davis (ecologist); Councillor Nīkau Wi Neera; and more to be announced! Some kai for dinner will be provided.
We hope to make this as accessible as we can, so please reach out if you have any questions or specific accessibility needs for this event. We are looking at streaming the conversation and will announce if this happens.
Date: Tuesday 1st of October, 5:30-7:30pm
Location: AM106, Victoria University Kelburn Campus
