LADIES was born from a shared love of Christmas between Lydia Ramsey, Erin Austin (OK SWEETHEART), and Miranda Zickler (Kuinka). Singing together in harmony, their voices ring out with a glowing warmth, clear and bright as a deep winter’s night. Ramsey handles the highs and Zickler takes on the lows, while Austin pirouettes melodically between them. Each vocalist has a unique, captivating timbre; together they create a sound profoundly transporting and timeless. In the fall of 2018, the trio released “LADIES, It’s Cold Outside”, their reinterpretation of the controversial Holiday classic. This led to a feature on Seattle NPR affiliate KNKX, inclusion in the Apple Music Holiday Hits Playlist, and 500K streams in the first month alone. In December 2020, the trio released a rendition of “Blue Christmas” which they performed on KEXP’s John in the Morning with John Richards. The Carol Van — a 2003 Eurovan that brought them home to home/driveway to driveway performing small pop-up concerts at a COVID-careful distance — brought joy and love to everyone earshot of their cheerful singing. Both “LADIES, It’s Cold Outside” and “Blue Christmas” are featured on Starbucks In-Store Holiday Playlist on Spotify. Their version of “Winter Wonderland” was featured on NBC’s Councy of Dads. In January of 2021, LADIES released a cover of the Arcade Fire song “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)”
which premiered on KEXP. In February of 2021, they reinvented The Carol Van into The Love Bus and released single “Chapel of Love”. In May 2021, they performed on PBS’s Crosscut Festival Headliners Night and collaborated with The London Plane for a Mother’s Day event. To celebrate a return to semi-normalcy, LADIES will release their rendition of the 70’s classic “Wonderful Christmastime” on November 26th, 2021. Performing live at the Triple Door on Wednesday, December 1st.
