• The 16-voice Ensemble Cherubim has received critical acclaim from around the globe for bringing Slavic choral music to new life, including a Grammy Award nomination for its recording of Bortniansky’s choral works on the Naxos International label.
• Marika Kuzma has led concerts in repertoire ranging from Medieval music to premieres of new works in prestigious venues such as Grace Cathedral, Stephansdom, Weill Recital Hall, Zellerbach Hall. She has collaborated with pre-eminent conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Nicholas McGegan, Kent Nagano, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Mark Morris Dance Group, gaining praise in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post and others.
•An acclaimed opera artist of Ukrainian descent, Vira Slywotzky has performed principal roles with Seattle Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Chelsea Opera and represented the US at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She has appeared as an actor-narrator in venues such as Symphony Hall in Boston.
•[New Haven concert] Mike Reynolds has led the theater department at Norwich Free Academy and directed the Georgetown Theatre Company in Washington, DC. His directing credits include You Can't Take It With You, and Our Town. Mike is familiar to New Haven audiences for his narration of A Child's Christmas in Wales at Trinity Church on the Green.
•[New York concert] British actor, director, and writer Jonathan Lynn, is world-renowned for his films such as My Cousin Vinny and his television series Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. A celebrated actor, he has appeared in various musicals, plays, TV series, and films. At the New York City concert, he will read excerpts from Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales.
