About this Event
Using dozens of stunning photographs that illustrate this often brutal story, Mark Humanity tells some of the many stories that make up the history of this highly organised and wildly successful grass roots movement.
Despite suffering thousands of arrests, assaults and endless police attention, the powerful Hunt Saboteurs defied the odds stacked against them and, over a 50-year period, managed to turn fox hunting from a noble pastime into a criminal pariah.
Mark Humanity will be signing copies of his book on the history of animal rights in Ireland between 1822 and 2022 -'The Humanity Trigger' - following the event. This event is part of the Christchurch Vegan Society monthly Night Makete.
