About this Event

Annette Warren was a prominent performer in the New York club scene in the 1940's, also performing in Los Angeles, London, and Montreal. Annette sang Ava Gardner's songs in the 1951 movie Showboat, and also provided the vocals for Lucille Ball in several films. She appeared multiple times on the Ed Sullivan Show, played Mrs. Peachum in a Big Apple production of Threepenny Opera, and much else over a seventy year performing career. She is still performing at the age of 99, and will be accompanied by pianist Professor Bob Remstein (picture below). On this special evening at COLLAGE she'll sing songs from throughout her career and reminisce about the Hollywood and New York that used to be.

Accompanist Bob Remstein has known Annette for forty years, and has a lively career of his own. He has created music for TV shows and video games, composed pieces that are played across the country in Jewish temples, and has performed in places as diverse as Japan and Switzerland. He has played keyboards for Tia Carrere, Ben Vereen, and Gloria Loring, and has written about music for Rolling Stone, Us, Musician, the LA View, and many more.
