Half day workshop exploring how permaculture ethics and principles can help us to plan for a death which cares for people and planet. The workshop will include informative, supportive discussion about how the values we place on the way we live can be used to guide the way we die. This will be followed by time to create personalised plans for how we would like to die and the care we would like for our body in the time after our death.
This workshop is suitable for anyone over the age of 18, whether you are in good health or living with serious illness. It's also suitable for people who are supporting others living with serious illness and/or approaching the end of their life.
While " A good death for planet and people" is a therapeutic space, its not therapy. If someone close to you has recently died or you are experiencing a complex bereavement, this might not be the right environment for you. Please get in touch if you have any questions about this.
Kt Shepherd creatively combines her many years working as a palliative care nurse, hill farmer and activist, with her passion for everyday permaculture design and learning.

Access at Salts Works
Salts Works is accessible for people using mobility aids, including wheelchairs. This includes an accessible toilet. There is also an accessible garden for anyone who needs a break from being indoors. Larger mobilty aids, for example outdoor scooters can be parked in the garden. Personal Assistants and Carers are welcome (free of charge) - please let me know if one will be accompanying you.

Please do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID 19 or any other viral type illness. Please take a COVID test the day befor the workshop if you are able to do so. You are encouraged to wear a mask if you are able to do so and masks will be available (free of charge).
