A Glass from the Past: The Little Italy History Shuffle

A Glass From the Past presents a unique opportunity to explore the indelible story of Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood through its iconic buildings and establishments. Led by knowledgeable guides, participants will visit five stops — Mount Granita Italian Ice, Guarino’s Restaurant, Lou’s Tavern of Little Italy, The Borgata Bar, and Little Italy Wines — each with its own story to tell. From Prohibition-era speakeasies to family-owned businesses passed down through generations, this shuffle offers a glimpse into the colorful past of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city.

Along the way, guests will sample delicious Italian-inspired drinks and small bites while soaking in the unforgettable stories of these local landmarks. The shuffle ends at the Italian American Museum of Cleveland (IAMCLE) where guests can party indoors or on the private outdoor patio with plenty of food, drinks, and music.

Tickets are $100 per person, which includes the guided tour, food/beverage sampling at five establishments, and the IAMCLE private party. Proceeds will benefit the cultural programming and initiatives of the IAMCLE and Little Italy Future Leaders (LIFL).

The Shuffle

**Check-in for the shuffle is at 1:30 p.m. SHARP at IAMCLE and steps off at 2:00 p.m.**

Attendees will be divided into 5 different tour groups. Each group will start the tour at one of the 5 participating establishments and circulate as instructed by the tour guide to the next establishment. Once a group has visited all participating locations, it will head back to IAMCLE. The tour will take approximately 2 hours and requires walking and some standing.

If you want certain individuals to be in your group, please indicate their names on the order questionnaire when purchasing your tickets. We will do our best to accommodate your requests but cannot guarantee that your entire group will be together, especially if it's larger than 10 people.
