M*I*C*R*A Inc.
M*I*C*R*A Incorporated, which is an acronym for Musical Integrity Creating Reliable Artists, was the baby/longshot idea of the late Dr. Brenda Brown and Dr. S. Scott Jones. It took fruition in 1993 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida as a stepping stone for artist training, artist management, instrumental and vocal instruction as well as a complete audio engineering program. With a strong emphasis on RELIABILTY.
While employed as the Choral and Band Directors of Dillard High School in Ft Lauderdale , Florida, respectively, Dr. Brown and Dr. Jones formed M*I*C*R*A Inc. to recruit potential music students and offer them 'a one stop shop' to the entertainment industry with the opportunity for referrals and job placement through hands on experience and performance expertise. The outpouring of support was astounding as donations poured in from as far away as The Soviet Union to help aid in the programs continued success.
Dr. Brown lost her battle with liver cancer in the summer of 2015 and Dr. Jones vowed to keep their dream alive through their students and their pursuit of musical excellence. Please feel free to take a short journey through the M*I*C*R*A Inc. page and experience the dream of musical prowess through... listening and enjoying.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM
Founded in 2001, the Museum acknowledges the multicultural contributions of Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, European Americans, Asian and African Americans in the settlement of the American frontier. Works of artists and others who documented people and events of the time via journals, photographs, and other historical items are part of the museum's collection of overlooked materials that tell, often for the first time, our complete story. Through various educational programs (e.g., storytelling sessions, "Forgotten Cowboys Tour," cultural heritage workshops, historical reenactments, participatory learning, and hybrid programming) at the museum and in the community, the Museum shares our multicultural western heritage while instilling positive values of diversity, tolerance, hard-work, and determination. Visitors to the Museum and at our traveling exhibitions leave with an awareness that the American West came into being through the struggles and triumphs of racially and socio-economically diverse people.
, our recent effort to raise funds for our relocation and exhibit preservation.
