A message from Breyanna:
My name is Breyanna and I've been practicing yoga for over 15 years. What began as fun after work activity with friends eventually became my lifeline—helping me navigate life’s challenges, including dealing with the deep sadness of loss and the stress and pain associated with life that we’re all facing on a day to day basis. On my mat, I discovered stillness, breath, and the ability to work through what was happening off the mat. In 2022, encouraged by my studio owner, I became a certified yoga teacher and found the perfect way to combine my love for yoga with my background in training and development. Since then, I’ve added a yin certification and am working toward being trauma-informed.
At our one-day retreat, I’ll guide a yoga workshop that helps you connect deeply with your body and learn practices you can carry home with you. Through meditation and movement, you’ll explore how to release pain, move through emotional stagnation, and build a sense of lightness within. Your mind and body are powerful allies—when you learn how to communicate with them, you unlock the ability to live with more freedom, self-love, and joy.
A message from Suzanne:
I’m Suzanne Hernandez, owner and founder of the Curious Card Company.I started the concept for this company out of a need to supportsomeone close to me with their own alcohol issue. After trying andfailing to “fix” someone else, it became clear that the only thing Icould control was myself, and a deep level of internal work needed tobe done with my own relationship to alcohol. After unsuccessfully searching for a sobriety support tool that feltright for me, I decided to create one. This project is informed by myown experiences, including losing my father to alcoholic liver diseasewhen I was 18 years old. The perspective of the project isspecifically for alcohol, but it could apply to most any habit youwish to change. In this retreat, you will learn about the specific framework that hasallowed me to step into an alcohol-free lifestyle since 2023 andcounting. This retreat creates a space for people to be vulnerableabout their habits. You will feel strong support for you to evaluateand create a plan for your transformation, whatever that may look likefor you. In my facilitation, we reject the idea that our habits control usand we embrace a simple truth: we have choices.
A Message from Gina:
I'm Gina Michelle and I welcome you to my multi-practitioner/modality wellness facility, Aquis Wellness Arts. I am honored to be collaborating with Suzanne and Breyanna and bringing in the healing element of water while exploring movement meditation. This style of meditation is a wonderful way to integrate all that has literally bubbled up to the surface of your consciousness! As the nature of water presents itself, it can soften the edges of your discovery and ease your integration back into your world again by enoucouraging you to let go of remaining stress and find inner peace. I will guide you through a series of mindful exercises, helping you to connect with your body and mind in a profound way. Immerse yourself in the soothing embrace of water and experience the transformative effects of this meditative practice. This is for all levels of movement abilities. Ending our workshop in the water helps the nervous system maintain a sense of calm and can have positve effects for sleep.
