Join Bev & John to make your own colourful feather light catcher, during this 3-4 hour workshop. Suitable for beginners, no previous experience is necessary. You will be guided through the process from cutting and grinding the glass, foiling the edges with copper tape, soldering the pieces together and finishing your piece ready to hang. You will be able to choose from a selection of coloured glass to make the feather your own.
As you will be working with glass, heat and chemicals you will be provided with safety gloves, glasses and aprons and expected to follow all safety instructions on the day. The glass may vary compared with the pictures (dependent on availability at the time).
You do not need to have previous experience to join this class. This informal workshop is perfect for enjoying with friends, or come along on your own. We will work through each of the steps you need in order to make a beautiful glass sun catcher.
This workshops includes materials and use of tools
Please do not wear open toe shoes.
Due to the lead content in the solder, the course is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding
Not suitable for children under 14 (any children over 14 should be accompanied by an adult)
