About this Event
Greenbelt Alliance Board Member Bob Johnson will lead us on this excursion along San Pablo Bay. We'll view along the shoreline salt marshes, historic remains, a fishing pier, and hopefully, spot lots of waterfowl.

This is an easy to moderate five-mile round trip hike with minimal elevation change.

WHERE TO MEET
Meet at the Giant Highway staging area (NOT the newer Atlas Road staging area); it can be reached from the Giant Highway by taking Richmond Parkway off of I-80, turning on Atlas Road, and then at the stop sign go left on Giant Highway to the park entrance just past the county corrections facility. There is a big parking lot there and the fee is $3 per car. Meet near the start of the trail just inside the fence from the parking lot.

This is an in-person outing. W are happy to see you on the trail.

About the Leader
Bob Johnson is a Greenbelt Alliance outings leader and has been active on various committees since becoming a Board Member in 1991. He has also worked with Urban Advantage to produce photo-realistic visualizations of better urban design. Previously, he worked for many years as a securities analyst in Japan as well as the Bay Area. With Janet Byron, he co-wrote the book Berkeley Walks featuring self-guided urban tours.
