Take a deep dive into electroacoustic orchestration, auditory hallucination and polytemporality. A Dread of Voids are a quintet of musicians all practising highly personal languages within the landscape of contemporary music.
United here as a loose collective performing pieces specifically written for them by Anthony Pateras, this stellar group of musicians invite you to experience an uncompromising program of intimate psychoacoustic music, including the Australian premiere of the work that gave the group its name.
Voice, clarinet, contrabass, bass flute, piano and electronics combine to create sonic illusions through delicate orchestration and tape manipulations.
This show promises to be a startling auditory experience for the sonically curious.
