We are again delighted to invite Year 12 students to attend a brilliant day of talks at the King's College London and the British Museum.

Register your interest by reserving a free space before the 25th May and you will be emailed an application form along with further information related to the day.

Outline of the day:

9.30: arrive and register at KCL Strand Campus reception.

10.00 to 10.45: Taster Lecture 1: Literature and Culture. Dr Akrivi Taousiani: ‘Mad Kings in a Democratic Crowd: The Case of the Bacchae and Oedipus Tyrannus

15 minute break

11.00 to 11.45: Taster lecture 2: Ancient History. Prof. Henrik Mouritsen: ‘Pompeii and Its Gladiators’

11.45 to 12.00: Classics At King's talk, Dr Bobby Xinyue

12.00 to 1.00: Lunch and refreshments (KCL, Strand Campus)

1.00 to 1.30: Walk to British Museum as a group

1.30-3.45: Study tours of the British Museum exploring material culture.
