Agenda

Body Talk: A Healing Movement Workshop
Host: Black Body Productions
Info: Body talking is a poetic approach to somatic healing grounded in creativity, mindfulness, movement, and more. Body Talking involves slow, progressive, somatic engagement with the nervous system (titration). We build intimacy with ourselves and one another through movement, art making, meditation, music, and self-Reiki. This event is focused on black, queer, and trans folk, especially artists, spiritualists, and educators, but is open to all who crave healing community space. For Black Body Productions' first outdoor Body Talk, the founder, Imani Noel, will incorporate sensory play and outdoor sculpture with movement.
đź•‘: 02:30 PM - 05:00 PM
Waste-Make Workshop
Host: Atlas Thomas
Info: [DROP-IN] Things that have been broken still have value, and can be reused in some shape or form.Â
Come learn the art of creating beauty with broken things in a reclaimed-pottery-mosaic-making workshop! Participants will be able to select a pre-made bisqueware base for their project, and the broken glazed ceramics for their patterns. The workshop will be spent designing a pattern and applying tiles to a dish or planter form, and then grouting between the tiles to produce a clean finished piece. Anyone may bring damaged ceramic or glass items that they wish to transform! Come with curiosity, and you will be provided instruction, inspiration, and materials to apply your own mosaic pattern to a piece of your choosing.
*This workshop requires a 1-hour drying window after gluing the tiles, before grout can be applied. Please arrive by 3:30 at the latest to ensure you have time to finish. Enjoy our other workshop (listed below) while your planter dries!

We Give Us Our Flowers: The Flower Crown Experience
Host: Cherokaree Tsalagi
Info: [DROP-IN] We Give Us Our Flowers is a flower crown making experience embracing your new level of self awareness with grace and love. Transformations are when you unlearn something unhealthy or a pattern that maybe you recognized you want to change. This experience is you tending to your own crown garden. This process of self empowerment through self development is how we experience new levels of awareness. The flowers are symbolic of acknowledgement, giving us our own flowers for the inner work we have made within ourselves. The flowers we give ourselves will be the most important because they will always show us externally how much growth has happened internally. We Give Us Our Flowers honors the foundations we have instilled within ourselves, for ourselves. The Flower Crown Experience is the ascension you will cherish in times of remembrance.Â
