Join me for a Day in the Woods and discover your creative side with a day of nature inspired art as we explore Botanical Printmaking and Mixed Media Collages! This full-day adventure takes place on our private estate nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevadas and even includes a picnic lunch among the trees!
Our day begins with Botanical Printmaking where we’ll take inspiration from our forest surroundings and you’ll learn how to create lush botanical designs on paper using a printing press, foraged plants, and flora.
I’ll go over all the techniques for creating dynamic prints including how to forage for the best plants, layering images to create depth to choosing complimentary colors so your designs pop!
We’ll break for a beautiful picnic lunch under the trees, where a gourmet spread of organic veggies, snacks, home-baked goods, and refreshments will be provided, including my moms infamous mini cherry cheesecakes , so come hungry !
In the afternoon we’ll explore Botanical Collages where you’ll learn how to create beautiful compositions from your prints using vintage papers, altered books, and more!
This adventure takes place at my forest studio nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevadas about 10 minutes out of Colfax and is the perfect day getaway!
This class is limited to an intimate group of 8 students and includes TWO workshops, ALL Supplies, Gourmet Picnic Lunch, Wine Tasting & Takeaway Guide
