About this Event

Arduino & Beyond: A Day in the Life of a UTD STEM Student

What is college STEM life really like? 🔬💻Get a behind-the-scenes look at majoring in a STEM field at The University of Texas at Dallas with the UTD Biotech Club!

Attendees will hear honest stories from current students about college classes and labs, making friends, joining clubs, landing internships and what they wish they had known before starting college!

Then, we'll put STEM into action with a hands-on Arduino engineering workshop! Participants will build and program their own reaction time tester using sensors and simple coding while learning how reaction time testing can be used in medical settings to evaluate nervous system function.

Whether you already have a STEM career in mind or are just starting to explore, this program is a chance to ask questions, try something new and get a real look at college STEM life. 🚀
