Make your version of botanical journal with imprints of variety of leaves and flowers just like the famous 19th century Botanist, Anna Atkins.

The participants will learn about one of the oldest photographic printing techniques, called Cyanotype printing, also popularly known as Sun Printing. They will learn to make their own cyanotype prints in a detailed manner. We will also have some time to explore around the garden of Tree House and also the streets around the space through a mini guided nature trail where we will forgage leaves and flowers.

The second half of workshop we will convert some lovely leaf/flower imprints into memorable blueprints to take home.

We will also learn about how to print photographs with this technique.We will also be doing a small sample of Anthotype printing which is print made using natural plant dyes.

Artist details :

Riddhi Satra is an artist, textile designer, and nature educator who works with botanical colours and their applications on textiles and crafts.

Currently, Riddhi is the founder of Livingalivememory, an initiative focused on educating people about the foundational relationships among crafts, the environment, culture, and the economy through creative, hands-on workshops and immersive experiences across various cultural institutions and natural ecosystems. She has previously curated these experiences at the CSMVS Museum, the Nehru Science Centre, the Nest at Malabar Hill, Maharashtra Nature Park, BNHS in Mumbai, RRBCEA (Pune) and at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026
