About this Event

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and one of the hardest places to actually meet someone.

You already know that. You have a life you like. You have a busy professioanl and social life, yet you still find yourself at 11pm swiping past a hundred people you will never meet. That isn't a you problem. It's a room problem.

So I built the room.

I'm Dorsa, and I host every NewCircle night myself, from the first hello to the last goodbye.

This evening is for straight singles aged 24 to 38 in Vancouver. Over dinner and drinks, you'll chat one on one with everyone.

If two people mutually choose each other, we exchange their numbers afterward, so there's nothing to worry about.

No swiping. No public rejection. No pressure.

I created NewCircle because I wanted people to feel safe, welcome, and free to explore what works for them and what doesn't, without pressure or artificial images. Just real conversations and genuine connections.

Who is actually in the room

Every guest is reviewed before their ticket is confirmed. Photo ID at the door. No walk ins, ever. Men's and women's tickets are sold separately and the count stays even, which is why seats are limited.

The room is deliberately small. Small enough that you'll remember everyone's name by the end of the night.

No Interviews

Speeddates are short and you know nothign about hte person to get

Nobody finds out you liked them unless they liked you back

At the end of the night you privately choose who you'd like to swap numbers with. As many people as you want. Where the interest is mutual, we exchange your contact information for you. Where it isn't, nothing is shared and nobody is told anything. That rule has no exceptions.

One thing to know before you buy

Food and drinks are not included. You order and pay for your own at Smith's. Your ticket is for the seat, the room, and the night I run in it.

Saturday August 22. 4:45pm to 8:30pm. Smith's Irish Pub, Gastown.

It ends at 8:30, so your Saturday night is still yours after. Plenty of people stay anyway.

Seats are limited on purpose. When the balance goes, sales close.

(Please kindly note that the evnet date is subject to change as we have to keep numbers even and curated. The day of the week will always be weither a Thursday (6:30-9) or Saturday(4:45-8:30). Our priority will always be a Saturday)

Photo & Vidoe Policy

By purchasing a ticket, you agree that NewCircle may photograph and/or film you during the event and use your image or likeness in our marketing materials, including our official social media accounts and website, to promote future NewCircle events. Your image will not be used on dating apps or any platform we do not directly control. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, please let our host know at check-in.

Info: Pitch yourself to the table. Get the basics over with so your dates can be more meaningful. Tell them your name, age, nationality, job/field of studies, any particular hobbies you have and something interesting about you. Dinner carries on around it.

Info: Enjoy dinner and drinks as you engage in conversations naturally.

Info: Six minutes with each person(opposite sex) in your group, one on one. Groups are built from the profile you filled out before you arrived, so the people in front of you are people worth your six minutes.(Depending on the size of your group time could be extended)
