Join a casual, fun in-person Diwali celebration with the local community - paint your own Diya & get a Diwali portrait taken!
About this Event

_______________
Missing home this festive season? Want an excuse to wear your traditional fit? Feel like getting a little crafty?
This Diwali, we’re making a little intimate space for creativity, connection, and celebrating the festive season together. ✨

Join us for a cozy evening where we’ll paint our own diyas (which you can light on Diwali), learn about the significance of Diwali and the tradition of lighting diyas, and spend time getting to know one another.

And yes, if you can, come dressed in your (casual + festive) Diwali fit! (Please be comfy and also mindful of the fact that you're going to be working with paints) 💛 You’ll have the chance to get a complimentary portrait of yourself with your painted diya, something you can share with your family, on your socials, or to simply keep as a memory of this Diwali.

Your ticket includes:

🎨 All the supplies you need to paint your own diya (with a couple of candle options)
☕ Chai (or any large beverage of your choice)
🫶 Meet, mingle, and connect with community
📸 A complimentary professional portrait of you with your diya, in your Diwali fit by Ishaw (waist up, due to limited space)

You’re also welcome to purchase anything else at the café for additional cost if you’d like!

Whether you’re coming to get crafty, celebrate Diwali or to meet new people, we’d love to have you join us.

Come as you are, dress up if you’d like, and leave with a diya you painted yourself to light on Diwali. 🪔
