The Masters at Marshall Distinguished Speaker Series continues on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse with author Javier Zamora who will discuss his memoir Solito. Narrated by his nine-year-old self, Zamora’s debut memoir Solito displays a candid portrayal of two transformative months traveling from El Salvador to Guatemala, then to Mexico and the United States. Zamora describes this harrowing journey highlighting moments of reprieve among the perilous boat trips, desert treks, arrests and betrayals.
