A Conversation with Chris Baxter

The University of Michigan Wallace House Center for Journalists and the Detroit Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invite you to join an in-person conversation with Chris Baxter, the founding editor of Spotlight, PA, the award-winning and highly acclaimed independent, nonprofit newsroom covering the state of Pennsylvania.

This event will take place on Wednesday, January 14, beginning at 5 p.m., at the popular Corktown restaurant, Supergeil (2442 Michigan Ave in Detroit).

There will be an opportunity to hear from Chris Baxter and to engage in a discussion of the state of journalism and what can be done to revive the coverage of local news in communities across the country.

The event is free, but space is limited.

Guests will enjoy a variety of light refreshments and complimentary drinks.

Parking is available on the street in front of and near the restaurant.
