About this Event
Join fiber artist Ann Miller Titus for a dialogue on the last day of her solo exhibit “A Language for Connection”, currently on display at Paperboat Gallery.
In 2022, fiber artist Ann Miller Titus began to think about connection… how we wander and stumble and sometimes crash into each other, all in an effort to connect and belong. She set about stitching her thoughts, constructing a visual language that would map the various ways we connect. Irregular rings are the predominant lexical items, joined via hand appliqué, into a syntax that suggests the topographies of relationships. Each story is further contextualized by elaborate patterns of machine quilting. The resulting quilts speak of chance encounters, emotional boundaries, intimacy, and the possibility of self-actualization through our connections with others.
Gather around for some light refreshments and explore her work. Conversation will begin at 3:00PM. There is no charge for this event, but we do ask that you register here so that we can plan accordingly.
