A Comox Valley Quirky Christmas is not your typical Christmas concert. Renowned dobro player/guitarist, Doug Cox, has gotten some local musicians together for an evening of diverse holiday music. From Bing to the Pogues, to Charlie Brown and Ella, JUNO award winning songwriter Helen Austin will be joining Doug along with the amazing guitar skills and vocals of Christy Vanden and topped off with Sue Wood and John Mang, known as local duo Hey Honey.This will be a collaborative affair with some of the Valley’s finest at the beloved venue of The Regier Theatre in Courtenay, formerly known as The Old Church Theatre. The show is on Saturday December 6th. Doors are at 7pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 available from regiertheatre.com/shows.
So come along to hear old, new, forgotten and interesting Christmas tunes played in the round with interactive banter and a festive feel.
