About this Event
Join The Bridge Granville County and Cornerstone Christian Community Church for this very necessary and timely training on responding to an active shooter with trainer Robert Fountain.
An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to K*ll people in a confined and/or populated area. Active shooters use firearms and there is typically no rhyme or reason related to the selection of victims. Active shooter situations are random and progress quickly. Everyone can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations.
By attending this training, participants will:
• Understand actions that need to be taken to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents;
• Understand the appropriate actions to take when confronted with an active shooter and dealing with law enforcement officials;
• Recognize potential violence indicators and
• Describe how to manage the consequences of an active shooter incident.
Robert Fountain has served with distinction as a military policeman in the Marine Corps and scout sniper. He has served as a team leader (NCOIC) of the Special Response Team at Camp Lejeune and NATO Security Operations Team Leader. Fountain also served as a weapons instructor, patrol commander, and undercover operative with the FBI.
Along with the previous mentions, Fountain has served to provide security for both foreign and domestic dignitaries within the United States which further amplifies his ability and expertise in providing this type of training. As a community leader, Fountain is making himself available pro bono to provide this training for the community, as part of his continued efforts and commitment to complete community service.
