About this Event
This year's theme, "A Classic Throwback!", honors the extraordinary history, resilience, and cultural legacy of Sullivan Progress Plaza —the nation's first Black-developed and Black-owned shopping center. Established through the vision and determination of Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan, the Plaza has served for generations as a beacon of Black entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, and community pride.
Sullivan Progress Plaza Day will celebrate this remarkable legacy by recreating the spirit of a traditional neighborhood block party with live entertainment, classic cars, local food vendors, community resources, and youth and family activities.

Inside at The North Philadelphia Welcome Center
In addition, we will feature a BINGO game (adults only) held inside of the North Philadelphia Welcome Center (NPWC) as our funding activity, with prizes ranging from $25.00-$100.00. You will have 4 opportunites to win.
