For many people, the holidays are a time of moral self-reflection. In addition to being a celebration of Christmas, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a profound meditation that challenges us to think about duty to others, personal happiness, and moral transformation. In this presentation, we use role play, film, PowerPoint, and discussion to examine Scrooge’s change from closed-hearted miser to openhearted philanthropist. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
This event will also feature the Evergreen Collective, a local chamber group, with festive music from 5:30 to 6 p.m.!
