A Choral Celebration with Will Todd

A unique blend of exquisite choral sound and fizzing jazz energy brings together the Fairhaven Singers, St Botolph’s Choir and Soochow University Alumni Choir in this celebratory programme featuring the only the second UK performance of Will Todd’s new oratorio The Promise, conducted by Chia-Fen Weng, with soprano Lorna James and The Will Todd Ensemble. The concert also celebrates the beauty, culture and spirit of Taiwan through songs in Mandarin, Taiwanese and Hakka. From its beautiful landscapes and rich traditions to its vibrant way of life, the first part of the programme offers a warm and passionate musical journey through Taiwan and its people.
