Kick off BlackStar Film Festival weekend with Black Film Club Chicago, Be Reel Cinema Club, Black Women Directors, and friends for an evening of good people, great conversation, and an authentic taste of Philadelphia.

Whether you're flying in for the festival or you're a Philly creative looking to meet filmmakers from around the country, Chi Philly Jawn Happy Hour is where festival weekend begins.

We'll gather at Taste Cheesesteak Bar to celebrate Black storytelling, creative community, and the cities that continue to shape our culture. Expect a signature "Chi Jawn" cocktail, happy hour food specials, an all-Philadelphia soundtrack featuring legendary hometown artists, and plenty of opportunities to meet directors, producers, writers, artists, journalists, and fellow film lovers before the screenings begin.

This isn't a networking event with name tags and awkward introductions, it's a room full of people who love film, culture, and meaningful conversation.
