For more than a decade, Grammy-and Emmy-nominated artist and composer, Mairead Nesbitt has enchanted millions of fans around the world as the Celtic Violinist and founding member of the globetrotting music phenomenon Celtic Woman.
A former all-Ireland fiddle champion and past member of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, Mairead completed her studies at CIT, Cork School of Music under Cornelia Zanidache and at the London Royal Academy, with post-graduate studies under Emanuel Hurwitz on violin and piano.
Maireads expansive musical portfolio spans the worlds of Celtic, Classical and Contemporary popular music. Her distinctive blend of traditional Irish and classical styles features in work with international artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, Clannad, Emmylou Harris, and more.
The Scariff Locklier Leonelli school has won an impressive array of awards throughout the U.S. It is currently ranked as one of the top U.S. Irish Dancing schools, producing more Regional Champions, National and World Qualifiers than any other school in Utah, Nevada and Montana.
Stephen Scariff, Director T.C.R.G/A.D.C.R.G., hails from Galway, Ireland and studied under the direction of Mairead O’Flaherty. In 2003, Stephen established his own dancing schools in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland and trained hundreds of dancers to become champions. By 2007, he relocated to the U.S. and established the Scariff school of Irish Dance.
Stephen’s goal has always been to develop a dancing school that becomes home to each and every dancer in addition to bringing them to a level of success they never believed possible by building character, confidence and the ability to fulfill dreams through hard work and perseverance.
