Please join us for a special night honoring the late Mr. Kurt Kennedy with a celebration of life and artistry tribute concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 in the NLRFUMC Sanctuary (doors will open at 6:30 p.m.). Mr. Kennedy’s deep, resonant singing voice, his creativity, and musical artistry have positively impacted every person and group he encountered. He was particularly involved in the handbell community, the River City Men’s Chorus, and served on the board of the Argenta Community Theatre (now known as Argenta Contemporary Theatre), as well as directed and conducted many musical productions there.This concert is a celebration of his diverse musical interests and talents. It is a loving tribute to Kurt himself, whose delightful sense of humor, infectious laugh, and ability to make everyone feel special will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Come enjoy a night of beautiful music featuring the talents of Dr. André Duvall, Bob Bidewell, The Capitol Brass, Dr. Tish Kennedy Davenport, Lisa Brandon Doss, Brandon Box-Higdem, Patti Airoldi, Judy Fraley, Julie Drake, Timothy Tucker, and the combined choirs of NLRFUMC, Hot Springs FUMC, Sylvan Hills UMC as well as a combined Men's Chorus, and the NLRFUMC JuBELLation Handbell quartet, NLRFUMC Faith Ringers Handbell Choir and the Sylvan Hills UMC Handbell Choir.
