On Saturday, February 15, the Des Moines Choral Society will join forces with two renowned collegiate ensembles – the Iowa State Singers and the Luther College Nordic Choir – for a beautiful evening of music. You’ll hear individual sets from all three choirs, in addition to a closing piece by the combined groups. A wide spectrum of composers from around the world will be featured, from masters of the past such as Brahms, Sweelinck, Gallus, and Howells to current composers such as Gyöngyösi, Runestad, Kirchner, Cook, and others.We look forward to interacting with these collegiate singers, demonstrating that continued choral singing can provide lifelong joy.
