A Cape Verdian Soundtrack of the City

How did Cape Verdean music find its roots in Rotterdam and how did the city move to its rhythm? This edition of Soundtrack of the City focuses on Cape Verdean music in Rotterdam, a place far from its origins, but where the world’s first Cape Verdean music label was established. In this programme, radio DJ and music expert Shay Kreuger and invited guests highlight the Cape Verdean rhythm and the sound of the city. They will take you on a journey of personal stories and carefully selected music from the archipelago.
